Persepolis

Dear Marjane Satrapi,

I am a cal state la student who is very satisfy with the book Persepolis. First of all I would like to say that Persepolis is a great comic book. It is very detailed, interesting and exciting. At first I thought it was going to be like an actually comic book very funny, but then I realized that it was really self expressing, which was my favorite part. It gave me a chance to better understand other persons religions and their way of thinking. Another thing I liked about the book was Marji's way of thinking because she was no ordinary girl, very smart and curious about things. I can relate to her because I am curious myself most of the time and I sometimes tend to misunderstand things but then I get upset when I do mistakes or interpret things wrong. Just like Marji did when she repeated what she heard from the TV and got her father mad, she became very upset. Also it made me appreciate more my country because it is very liberal unlike yours which really dominating, which is not fair at all. Other than that I really enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to reading the second part.

Sincerely, Sara Ambriz
